Seventh Annual Dentistry from the Heart Event
On September 21st we hosted our annual Dentistry from the Heart event at our State Hill Road office in Wyomissing. This is the seventh straight year that Grove has held the clinic for those in need, and as with previous years we were thrilled to give back to members of our community with free cleanings, fillings, or extractions.
$35,000 in Free Dental Care Provided to 136 Patients
In past years, we’d usually see around 100 patients so this was one of our team’s best efforts yet. Well before the 8:00 a.m. registration start we had a line of eager community members. Over 50 Grove team members, including 6 dentists, contributed their time throughout the day.
The local news media did a tremendous job covering the event. Y102 came out and did a live broadcast from the parking lot for two hours. Dr. Jeff did interviews with the station plus an interview with the Reading Eagle which evolved into this great article on Sunday morning.
We couldn’t have pulled off this event without the help of our very dedicated team here at Grove along with support from others in the community. Two oral surgeons and four assistants from Berks Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center, Wyomissing, also contributed their time.
For upcoming Grove Dental events, contests and promotions, be sure to follow up on Facebook. And if you were one of the patients we served this past Saturday please leave us a review!
Dentistry from the Heart
In 2001, Dentistry from the Heart started with Dr. Vincent Monticello as a way to give back to the community and provide aid to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance. Dentistry from the Heart has grown to include over 200 annual events nationwide and around the world and has provided more than 80,000 people with an estimated $8 million in free dental care services.
