Our community was a buzz this weekend with fall festivals, healthy living expos, and FREE Dentistry! Our most inspiring day of the year yielded free dental care for 65 people who may not have otherwise had the means to go to the dentist. Penn Avenue saw a sea of blue shirts on Saturday, September 19th, with nearly our entire staff of 30 people in attendance for a day of charitable giving to our community for the third year in a row! Together, we gave over $20,000 worth of free dental care in the form of cleanings, fillings, and extractions to the people of Berks County on Saturday.
We feel it is so important to give back to the community that has given us so much over the years. Over the last 3 years, the team at Grove Dental has provided free care for over 290 people and given more than $150,000 in cash and services back to the community.
Our day of free dentistry is made possible by the volunteer efforts of the entire staff of dentists, hygienists, sterilization assistants, and front office personnel, as well as our national non-profit organization, Dentistry from the Heart. We would also like to thank Dr. Andrea Ache-Witmer, DMD and her team for helping to make this day possible! We’re all truly proud to give the gift of a smile to so many people in need. Here are a few photos that provide just a glimpse of our inspirational day of giving. SAVE THE DATE: Please consider volunteering with us to provide dentistry to those less fortunate on Saturday, December 3, 2016.
