At first glance, a graduate of the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University with a major in Industrial Distribution doesn’t seem like a degree that a dentist would have, but take a second look because after starting out his career in the corporate world, Dr. Colin Horan decided to follow his passion to the art and science of dentistry.
Horan graduated from Manheim Township High School in Lancaster, where he excelled on both the basketball and golf teams. After his time at Texas A&M, he went on to complete a post-baccalaureate program at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, and received a certificate in Biomedical Sciences. Upon completion of his post-baccalaureate program, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. While at Temple, Dr. Horan accompanied a dental mission trip to Haiti to provide oral surgery services to Haitians. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Penn Medicine’s Lancaster General Hospital.
Dr. Horan says: “I’m excited about joining Grove Dental Group and being back in central Pennsylvania, serving a community close to my roots.” He strives to provide the highest level of dental care while building long lasting relationships with patients. Outside of work, Dr. Horan says he “enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing basketball and golf, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.”
