Meet Dr. Walters
Angela is a proud graduate of Wilson High School. She received a Bachelor of Science from Albright College with a Pre-Dental track, and co-majored in Communications with a Journalism track. She graduated from the rigorous and hands-on Doctoral Program at Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, where she served in numerous leadership positions. One of her favorites as a leader in Operation Smile, where she got to co-host a celebration that brought kids and their families from CHOP together with animals from Penn Vet both with craniofacial differences for support.
Education and Expertise
During Dr. Walter's undergrad, she started working at GDG in 2014 as a Clinical Assistant and in Sterilization. She always knew her dream was to return to this amazing team, and here she is back home. During her time at Temple, she served on the National Editorial Board as a contributing Editor for ASDA’s Contour Magazine and got to travel which she also loves. It gave her the opportunity to go on numerous leadership conferences and board meetings in which she got to network with the ADA and other dental colleagues across the country. She loves working with all patients, and got to be a part of a Geriatric Externship through Direct Mobile Dental Service System that serves patients and residents in 350 nursing homes and life care centers. At Temple, she completed Survey Research on Assessing the Most Effective Communication Channel of Oral Health Information to Improve Health Literacy, and in her undergrad she completed my honors thesis, Improving Health Literacy through Effective Communication to Motivate Americans towards Better Oral Health. She believes in pursuing the highest level of cutting edge dentistry and hold herself to the standard of always learning, growing and knowing the latest technology and techniques of dentistry. She is passionate about serving her community and giving back in any way she can- and one of the greatest ways she knows how is dentistry. She served as a clinical volunteer at MOM-n-PA, that served over 1900 patients dental needs. She looks forward to continuing serving in these ways like GDG’s annual Dentistry from the Heart that she got to serve on one of the early teams.
Personal Interests and Philosophy
Born and raised here, she is thrilled to come home and serve her community. She sees every day as a gift to unite her dental expertise and communication skills to enhance her patients oral and overall health. We are a team in this! Working with you, is her favorite part! She believes a successful appointment is when her patient leaves feeling more seen, heard and cared for. The dentist can be an intimidating place, and she wants you to feel like you’re catching up with a friend, while receiving the highest level of care.
